Hydrogen peroxide is a chemical compound with the formula H ₂O ₂. In its pure form, it is a very pale blue liquid, slightly more viscous than water. It is used as an oxidizer, bleaching agent, and antiseptic, usually as a dilute solution in water for consumer use, and in higher concentrations for industrial use.
Hydrogen Peroxide Uses
- First Aid: Can be used to arrest bleeding and disinfect wounds by applying a diluted solution to lint bor cotton wool and cleanse the wound
- Can be used to remove or for wound dressing, here you soak dressing with diluted solution, leave for a few minutes, then remove the dressing.
- Can also be used as a mouthwash and deodorant in which you dilute two spoonfuls to one glass of water and gaggle.
